Hello everybody.

Today let’s see how we can shutdown your computer in a given time. There are many reason we need to do that, one of them is when we leave the computer compiling and we go to sleep.
To do that is simple and easy. Open a shell and type:

sudo shutdown -h 09:00

Doing that, your computer will turn off 9 o’clock. However if you are so tired to use a shell, before to close it, install this package:

sudo apt-get install gshutdown

After to install, type:

gshutdown

A windows like below will be shown.

In it, you can set the scheduler to shutdown.

That’s it folks. See you next time.
